Nail Art: Newspaper! + Tutorial

Ho deciso di provare questa tecnica (per la prima volta) per ricreare delle lettere che richiamassero i libri, la carta stampata :) proprio perchè sono in tesi ;)
I decided to try this tecnique (it’s my first attempt) to recreate letters from newspaper and that could look like a book :) Perfect for this period because I’m wiriting my final paper :)
E’ semplice da fare quindi, se non ci avete ancora provato, ecco cosa vi servirà:
It’s easy to do so, if you haven’t tried yet, here is what you will need:
- smalto nude come base/ nude nail polish as base
- giornale/ newspaper - alcool o grappa o vodka /alchool or vodka
- forbici /scissors
- pinzette / tweezer - un piccolo contenitore/ a small pot where to pour alchool

Step by step:
- stendi un base coat
- applica uno smalto nude e lascia asciugare
- taglia un giornale in pezzetti abbastanza grandi da coprire le unghie - versa l’alcol o simili nel contenitore -con le pinzette prendi un pezzo di giornale e mettilo nel liquido, aspetta qualche secondo - con delicatezza poggia il pezzo di giornale sull’unghia e sempre con delicatezza fai un po’ di pressione per farlo aderire bene  - solleva il pezzo di giornale usando le pinzette - lascia asciugare e proteggi con top coat

- apply your base coat as usually
- apply a nude polish and let it dry - cut the newspaper into small pieces that would fit on your nails
- pour some alchool/vodka on a small pot
- take the paper pieces with the tweezer and put it in the alchool, wait some seconds
- genlty apply the piece of paper on your nail and gently press with your finger
- peel off the paper using the tweezer - let it dry and apply topcoat!

Durante queste due settimane, le mie unghie sono state quasi senza smalto, quindi ieri ho deciso di farci una decorazione per Capodanno. Spero che questa french in diagonale con glitter e stelline vi piaccia.
During these two weeks my nails were naked, but yesterday I decided to decorate them for New Year’s  Eve. I hope you like this diagonal french with glitters and stars.



E’ semplice da realizzare: 1. stendete lo smalto nero diagonalmente (io ho utilizzato una spugna per avere un bordo meno netto). Lasciate asciugare.
2. Prendete uno smalto glitterato e passatelo sopra alla diagonale. Fate asciugare.
3. Passate uno smalto trasparente e appoggiate le stelline
4. Passate un trasparente/top coat per fissare la vostra nail art.

It’s very easy:
1. make a diagonal french (I used a sponge to make a gradient effect) with black nail polish. Let it dry.
2. Take glittery polish and apply it over the diagonal. Let it dry.
3. Take stars and apply them over a clear polish.
4. Apply a layer of clear polish /top coat to seal the nail art.

Tutorial: How to paint roses

Vi piacciono le rose? Vorreste imparare a disegnarle sulle vostre unghie? E’ facile e il risultato sarà adorabile.

Do you like roses? Would you like to learn how to paint them in your nails? It’s easy and the final result is lovely (I think so).
Are you ready?


Cosa vi serve:
What you will need:



- a base coat + top coat - smalto base (io ho scelto Layla Ceramic Effect 24 –> Swatch )
- colori acrilici: rosso, bianco, verde e nero
- un pennellino fine (se serve, tagliate le setole) o uno stuzzicadenti - a base coat + top coat
- a base colour ( I used Layla Ceramic Effect 24 –> Swatch)
- acrylic craft paint in red, white, green and black
- a thin chopped brush or a toothpick




1- Tracciate delle C con il rosso.
2- Aggiungetene a piacimento.
3- Aggiungendo nero al rosso create un rosso più scuro che userete per le ombre.

1- Paint some C form with red
2- Add as much as you want
3- Make a darker red mixing red+black, use this color to make shades



4- Create un rosso più chiaro, aggiungendo del bianco al rosso. Create i punti luce.
5- Fate le foglie con il verde e aggiungete punti luce (verde+bianco)
6- Aspettate che sia ben asciutto poi fissate la vostra nail art con il top coat.

4- Make a lighter red mixing red+white, use this colour to make lighter parts
5- Make leaves with green, add light green (mixing green+white)
6- Wait until it is fry and then seal your nail art with top coat.

Tips:
Se fate qualche pasticcio, niente paura: i colori acrilici sono a base d’acqua quindi potrete cancellare l’errore con un po’ di acqua (strofinate la punta di un fazzolettino bagnato oppure utilizzate il pennello)
Don’t worry if you make some mistakes: acrylic craft paint is waterbased so you can “erase” it with water :)
Per rendere più realistico il vostro disegno, ricordatevi di aggiungere le luci e le ombre sempre lungo la stessa direzione. Intendo dire che se decidete che il punto luce sarà in alto a sinistra, allora tutte le luci saranno in alto a sinistra mentre le ombre saranno in basso a destra.
To make it more realisitc remember to add lighter and darker parts in the same direction. I mean that if you decide that the light comes from the upper left “corner”, make sure that the all ligher parts are upper and left and darker part are lower part and right.

La mia proposta per oggi è questa:

 

 

Vi sentite incapaci? Pensate che la nail art non faccia per voi? Questa vi sembra troppo complicata?

Su su, armatevi di:

-una buona base (il base coat è il primo passo per una manicure, quindi sceglietelo con cura: potete andare da quelli più economici della Essence, a quelli fascia media della Kiko e della Rimmel, a quelli più costosi che sinceramente non ho mai provato)

-uno smalto rosso ( il mio è Rimmel Lycra Pro 296 Guest star)

-dei colori acrilici nero e bianco (sisi, quelli che si usano a scuola, l’importante è che siano a base d’acqua. Non sono tossici, tranquille)

-un pennello 00 (in alternativa potete usare un dotting tool oppure uno stuzzicadenti al quale dovrete togliere la punta)

-un top coat ( è il sigillante finale, farà rimanere intatta la vostra manicure per un po’ di giorni! Anche qui, ci sono varie marche e vari prezzi, sta a voi scegliere)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Avete preparato tutto? Bene!

Il primo passo è stendere il base coat e lasciarlo asciugare. Mi raccomando!! Non abbiate fretta!

Passate il vostro rosso su tutta l’unghia, stando attente a non toccare le cuticole e a non sbavare troppo.

 

TIP(1): Se doveste sbavare il colore, non importa: prendete un altro stuzzicadenti, un po’ di cotone e del solvente per unghie (meglio se acetone free), avvolgete un po’ di cotone all’estremità dello stuzzicadenti e imbevetelo di cotone. Ecco, vi siete appena costruite la vostra arma contro le imperfezioni!

 

Una volta asciutto (lasciate passare qualche minuto), prendete il colore acrilico bianco e disegnate una goccia con il pennello/dotting tool/stuzzicadenti. Potete partire facendo un pallino e poi trascinare (dal centro verso l’esterno) un po’ di colore in modo creare la puntina.

 

 

Fate quanti petali volete

 

 

Con la stessa tecnica, create anche il fiore nero.

 

 

TIP: I colori acrilici ci sono di grande aiuto: se doveste sbagliare qual cosina, basterà lavar via il colore quando ancora è fresco (potete usare la tecnica TIP1 sostituendo il solvente con l’acqua). Si è già seccato? Poco male: con uno stuzzicadenti appuntito grattate via il colore! Delicatamente, mi raccomando, altrimenti rovinerete lo smalto.

 

 

Per riempire un po’, create una catenella: prima dei trattini neri poi dei trattini bianchi.

 

 

Sigillate tutto con una buona passata di top coat e… complimenti!! Avete finito!

Come anticipato nel post precedente, ho aggiunto un motivo a merletto!  Ho utilizzato Sally Hansen 52 Wholesome Earth (quello di Sammy ) e il dotting tool.
As told in the previous post, I added a lace pattern! I used Sally Hansen 52 Wholesome Earth (By Sammy ) and a dotting tool.

 

Essendo il mio primo tentativo con il pizzo, ho optato per un design semplice.
Since it is my first attempt in lace designs, I decided to make an easy one.

Come detto nel post precedente, ho fatto la mia manicure della settimana utilizzando le decalcomanie di Viva la Nails , dato che erano una novità per me.
So as told in the previous post, here is my mani using some Viva la Nails stuff. 
I chose water decals since they are something new for me :)

 

Come fare:
How to:

1.Scegliete il design dal foglio
Choose the design from the sheet

2.Tagliate tutto attorno al design
Cut around the design

3.Usando delle pinzette, immergete per alcuni secondi nell’acqua il design ritagliato
Using tweezer, dip the cutted desing in some water for some seconds

4.Appoggiatelo sulla mano (il disegnino deve essere dalla parte della pelle)
Lay it dow on your hand (with the desing touching your skin)

5. Togliete il foglio e applicate il disegnino sull’unghia
Peel off the base and apply the design on the nail

6.Top coat

I pierced my nails :)

 

 

Ho preso il set per fare i piercing (Essence, circa 3 € in offerta) ancora uno o due mesi fa, ma non ho potuto farlo fino ad ora in quanto non avevo le pinze.
I bought the piercing set (Essence, 3€ on sale) maybe one or two months ago, but I wasn’t able to pierce my nails because I had not the pliers.

Ieri mio papà me le ha comprate e alla fine mi son fatta il pericing :)
Yesterday my dad bought me two pliers and finally I got pierced :)

 

E’ stato molto semplice:) si possono trovare molti video su Youtube su come si fa, ma ecco qui il mio piccolo tutorial

Materials:

-Trapanino Nail drill
-Nail piercing
-Due pinze Two pliers
- Dei fogli di carta Some paper sheets

    

Tutorial:

1. Prendete dei fogli di carta e appoggiateli sul tavolo per proteggerlo
Take some paper sheet and lay them down to protect your table

2.Prendete il trapanino e apritelo 
Take the nail drill and open it.

3.Scegliete l’unghia e la posizione del foro, poi, con delicatezza, fate ruotare il trapanino per creare un piccolo foro.
Choose the nail and the position, then gently rotate the drill to create a little hole

4.Prendete le pinze ed aprite l’anellino
Take your pliers and open the ring

5. Inserite l’anellino nel foro e chiudetelo
Put the ring on and then close it

How I remove nail polish

 

 

Ciao! Questo post nasce da un consiglio richiesto dalle mie compagne di università che tempo fa mi chiesero come si potesse togliere lo smalto facilmente e velocemente, soprattutto se glitter. Quindi vorrei mostrarvi come faccio.

Prima della “scoperta” mettevo un po’ di solvente nel cotone e poi strofinavo furiosamente senza grandi risultati. Poi ho letto da qualche parte che il solvente perde la sua efficacia in quando fa presto ad evaporare. Quindi pensa e ripensa, infine ho trovato una soluzione!

 

Cosa serve:

1. il vostro solvente preferito (meglio se senza acetone)

2. del cotone

3. un guanto di plastica

 

Procedimento:

1. indossate il guanto di plastica in una mano

2. versate un po’ di solvente nel cotone

3. mettete il cotone su un unghia

4. avvolgete l’unghia e il cotone con la mano con il guanto e prestate attenzione di chiudere bene e non lasciare fessure che facciano entrare aria

5. aspettate circa 30 secondi (per gli smalti glitter anche di più)

6. gentilmente, facendo un po’ di pressione, fate slittare il cotone verso la fine dell’unghia

7. ripetete se necessario.

 

Allora? io mi trovo bene con questo metodo, fatemi sapere se vi sono stata utile :)

 

 

Hi :) Some of my uni friend asked me a quick and easy way to remove it, expecially when it is glittery.  I’d like to show you how I remove nail polish. I used to put some polish remover in cotton dishes and then furiously take it up and down along the nail without great results. Then I read somewhere in the net, that the problem is that the remover evaporates and looses his power. So I thought and thought and finally I have a solution!

 

What you will need:

1. your favourite polish remover (better if it is acetone free)

2. some cotton

3. a plastic glove

 

How to:

1. wear the plastic glove in your right hand

2. pour polish remover in the cotton

3. put the cotton on a polished nail

4. wrap the polished nail with the right hand and make sure of close well and not let the air come in, near the acetone

5. wait about 30 second (for glitter nail polish it colud take longer)

6. gently pull off the cotton with a little pression, going down, from cuticles to the end of the nail

7. repeat if necessary

ero stanca di questo colore uniforme, quindi ho deciso di aggiungerci qualcosa e... non so perchè ma ho pensato ai panda!! Quindi ecco la mia variante!

   



E' molto semplice da fare e il risultato è tenero :)
Ho preparato un tutorial così potrete ricrearlo sulle vostre unghie.

Cosa ci serve:
1-smalto trasparente (il mio è Chic)
2-smalto bianco (Got Beauty)3-smalto nero (Chic)4-foglio di plastica
5-dotting tool o qualcosa di simile
6-mina per matite o un ago


Step by step:
1-lasciate cadere due gocce di bianco sul foglio di plastica
2-con il dotting tool fate due piccoli pallini neri sulla goccia inferiore e due su quella superiore
3-con il dotting tool create gli arti superiori4-con la mina e lo smalto nero fate tre piccoli pallini (gli occhi e il naso). Se volete, sempre con la mina e lo smalto bianco, fare dei pallini più piccoli all'interno degli occhi
5-passate lo smalto trasparente
6-lasciate asciugare (un'ora o più, a seconda dello spessore)
7-gentilmente sollevate il panda e fissatelo all'unghia con il top coat



Se avessi avuto in image plate con dei bambù, li avrei stampati come sfondo... (ho provato a disegnarli a mano libera ma erano venuti fuori dei lunghi mostri verdi al posto dei bambù :P )


Hi! I was tired of the plain mani, so I decide to add something and... I don't know why, this colour made me thinking about pandas! So here it is!
It's very easy to do and the result is cute :)
I've made a tutorial so you can recreate this on your nails.

What we need:
1-clear polish (mine is Chic, cheap polish brand)
2-white polish (here is Got Beauty)
3-black polish (Chic again :] )
4-plastic sheet
5-dotting tool or something similar
6-a mine or a needle (for details)

Step by step:
1-drag two drops of white polish on the plastic sheet
2-with the dotting tool, using the black polish, make two little dots in the lower big dot and in the upper (they are the feet and the ears)
3-with the dotting tool, draw the upper limbs
4-using the mine and black polish, make little dots for eyes and nose. If you want, you can take some white polish and make smaller dots inside the eyes.
5-one coat of clear polish
6-let it dry (one hour or more, it depends on the thikness)
7-genlty peel off the panda and using top coat, seal it on your nail :)

If I had an IM with some bamboos I would have stamped as background... (I've try to paint it free hand but it was a green long monster instead of a bamboo :P )

La mia settimana sta andando bene: domani non andrà all'uni perchè non ci sono lezioni:oggi ho finito quelle di geografia e il prof di latino sarà assente, quindi dovrei avere più tempo oggi! (^.^)




Questa manicure l'ho fatta qualche tempo fa, ispirandomi da un video di youtube. E' abbastanza semplice da realizzare ma l'effetto è assicurato!
A mano libera, o usando del nastro adesivo come mascherina-guida, passate uno smalto scuro su metà unghia e uno più chiaro sull'altra metà. (Consiglio: lasciate asciugare bene lo smalto prima di staccare il nastro adesivo o avrete brutte sorprese!). Poi, con un dotting tool o uno stuzzicadenti, disegnate quattro pallini e con uno stuzzicadenti pulito trascinate via il colore dei pallini, partendo dal centro del fiore andando verso il centro del petalo-pallino. Per le foglie seguite lo stesso procedimento. Lasciate asciugare ed applicate i brillantini e il top coat!

Potete creare mille combinazioni seguendo i vostri gusti. Io ho utilizzatto lo smalto Essence Multidimension 53 All Acces e Delys n11 (mi è stato regalato, marca mai sentita ma non è malaccio!

my week is going well: tomorrow I'm not going to Uni because there aren't lessons: I finish Geography class today and my latin teacher will be absent so I have more free time today! (^.^)

Here is a many that I did some time ago. I was inspired by a youtube video. It's quite easy to do but is fantastic!
Freehand or using an adhesive tape, paint half nail with a dark colour and the other half with a lighter colour. (Advertise:let the polish dry before pulling off the adhesive tape, or you will have a bad surprise) Then, in the dark half, with a dotting tool, make four points with the lighter polish and with a toothpic make a line pressing gently, starting from the center of the flower and going inside the petal. To make the leaves, use the same method. Let it dry and then apply rhinestones and top coat!
You can combine billions of colours, according to your taste! I used Essence Multidimension 53 All Access and Delys n 11( it was a gift, i've never heard about this brand but it's quite good!)

NOTW- Simple glitter french

Ciao!Ecco la prima manicure di questo blog. E' molto semplice e veloce da eseguire. L'ho tenuta tutta questa settimana.Domani farò la nuova (tempo permettendo) che sarà semplice perchè lunedì ho un colloquio con un professore ed è meglio stare tranquille e non mostrare cose strane... non si sa mai!! :)

Cosa ci serve:
1-base coat (io ho usato Essence SOS repair)
2-smalto rosa per french (il mio è sempre Essence, di uno dei due kit per french)
3-smalto glitter ( Essence 02 Louise della Limited Edition "Be a nail artist")
4-brillantini
5-top coat ( Essence glossy)

Procedimento:
1-mettere la base, lasciar asciugare, poi passare lo smalto rosa per french, lasciar asciugare
2-passare lo smalto glitter sulla french
3-top coat dove si vuole applicare il brillantino, posarlo sullo smalto non ancora asciutto e fare un po' di pressione
4- top coat su tutte le unghie

Tutorial:

2-apply glitter polish on the french
3- drop top coat where you want rhinestone, let it adhere and press
4- apply top coat
